Three major manufacturers, an extensive range of used vehicles, screensavers, wallpapers, parts, service, the team… phew! The new website for Tropical Auto Group had to cover many bases, and we’ve managed to cram a lot in!
The new vehicles section provides something for the visitor to take away – we have prepared wallpapers and screensavers for each vehicle, as well as more information by linking directly to the vehicle’s page on their manufacturer’s website (not just linking to the home page).
It was important that each manufacturer’s vehicles was seen as independant, so when you’re looking at a Ford Falcon, for example, there is no mention of either Mitsubishi or BMW. And the same applies for each manufacturer. However, when looking at a more general page on the website, you can see links for all three (Ford, Mitsubishi and BMW) in the top right corner.
The used cars section was custom designed and built, as their previous website was cumbersome to maintain. Traopical Auto Group staff can now update the used vehicles in seconds, and the system automatically takes care of resizing all of the photos to minimise the effort required.
We have also combined a few new techniques that preserve the simple linking methods that search engines like, and yet provide a more interesting, intuitive graphic display that people prefer.
