The week saw the launch of MyRockhampton – a series of websites design to promote livability, tourism and investment in the Rockhampton Region.
The family of websites includes:
- An event calendar that spans all 3 websites, with the ability for individuals and organisation to submit events
- A business directory that can be updated by individual businesses
- The ability to book accommodation, tours and attractions directly from the website
- A trip planner
- Integration with Google maps, including customised “skins” to bring the maps more in line with the website branding and colour scheme
These sites will evolve and grow over time, and importantly much of the data in the business/events sections will feed into an upcoming app. So it’s important that you get yourself listed here if you’re not already!
